Day 6 (83.8 kg - 22.5% Body Fat)

Weight and Body Fat
83.8 kg! That's almost my start weight again. BUT: My body fat has decreased about 1.7 kg since then! So, interestingly, with the McDonald's Diet I do not lose water, or muscles, but FAT! I am surprised by that. Although it's only logical: with the low calorie intake, my body HAS to burn fat!

As I wouldn't consider myself fat (and with 190cm height I am not overweight, according to my Body Mass Index), I did not expect much visible results of my McDiet. My goal is to go below 80 kg. I don't know if this is possible in 30 days. When I weighted myself for the first time last Tuesday (13/07/2004 - I had just bought the body fat scale for the McDiet), my weight was 85.7 kg. So I'd have to lose 6 kg! As I said, I tought 6 kg wouldn't produce much visible results, but today I thought of it as 4 1.5 litre bottles. So now I think getting rid of the volume of 4 1.5 litre bottles should have some visible effect! (Don't know if fat and water have similar volumes, but even if it's only 3 bottles it'll surely be visible.)

Breakfast
Again, I stayed in bed long in order to recover from my cold. (BTW: I catched this cold while I was trying to live healthy, so it must not be blamed on the McDiet!)

Lunch
For lunch, I had a tasty Cheeseburger Deluxe with a low fat strawberry yoghurt as a subsitute for the fries. I really like this yoghurt - seems to be a Singapore product, so I don't know how the yoghurts are in other countries. I have to confess that I never had a yoghurt at McDonald's before this McDiet, as I thought of it as "no real McDonald's food". But in future I'll get it instead of fries more often.

Once more, I was surprised how long this simple meal kept me full. In the afternoon, I hoped I'd get hungry again, to be able to have another McMeal. Finally I decided that I could have one, as I would get hungry anyway. To experience one more product from the menu, I opted for the McWings. I didn't use the Sett Chili Sauce they come with. These wings were delicious. In the past I used to get angry when they didn't have the food available immediately, but now I enjoy the super-fresh food I get when they have to make it for me. And these wings were super-duper fresh! Mmmh! After I had finished them, I just couldn't stop eating and had another Cheeseburger Deluxe, just in case... ;-) I knew I was still low on calories.

Dinner
Again, I didn't really feel hungry, but I thought I'd surely get, so I had an Apple Pie. The yoghurt I kept for later, just in case.

Calories
According to my calculations, this day adds up to 1.469 kcal. I ignore the calories that could be provided by the Lemon Coke light I drink during the days, as they can only be insignificant.

I am really amazed how easy it is to eat little with the McDonald's products. And the best thing is: I know it won't be hard to stay below 2.000 or 2.500 calories, as my biggest calorie intake so far has been 1.940 on day 2.
